Nothing less than の意味
ケンブリッジ辞書では以下のように書いてあります。
nothing less than something
・only a particular quality in something, and not worse
・Nothing less than something is also used to show something is very important or serious
特定の状態を指したり、何かを強調したりする際に使う、とあります。
すなわち、先の例文は
Your life is nothing less than a miracle.
(あなた人生は、一つの奇跡以外のなにものでもない)
といった感じの意味になります。
しかし、「Nothing less than…=…以外のなにものでもない」という覚え方はしないように。以下にいくつか例文を載せますので、ニュアンスをつかみましょう。
Example
It was nothing less than sexual harassment.
(あれはセクハラ以外のなにものでもなかった)
The singing is nothing less than brilliant.
(その歌は素晴らしいとしがいいようがない)
This job requires nothing less than your best effort.
(この仕事は全力を尽くす必要がある)
→そうじゃなかったら失敗する…というニュアンス
I want nothing less than a full refund.
(全額返金して欲しい)
→それ以外は受け付けない…というニュアンス
下記はとあるレストランのツイートですが、ここでもnothing less than…が使われていますね。

「Butlers(レストランの名前)は、ファミリーレストランです。本当にフレンドリーなおもてなしがあなたを待っています!」といった感じでしょうか。お腹すいてきましたね。
上記さまざまな例で分かるように、あくまでも「強調」をしているだけですので、もし混乱してしまったらNothing less thanを取っ払って考えてみましょう。
It was sexual harassment.
The singing is brilliant.
This job requires your best effort.
I want a full refund.
上記でも意味は基本的には変わりません。うまく頭の中で訳せないなら「Nothing less than=強調している」ということだけ覚えておけばOKです。
